abstract (57) Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing ε-cyclohexanone oxime. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing ε-caprolactam having high activity (high production rate) and no by-product ammonium sulfate using a catalyst that can be easily adjusted in a method for producing caprolactam. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a catalyst comprising an oxide solution containing zirconium sulfate and a transition metal salt, on which a zirconium oxide and a transition metal salt containing sulfur are deposited on a carrier. This is achieved by a method for producing ε-caprolactam, which comprises bringing cyclohexanone oxime into contact with a gaseous solid phase in the presence.
