abstract (57) [Summary] To control the rotation of a mixing container 3 in a food mixing apparatus 1 inexpensively and accurately. SOLUTION: A detecting means 51 for detecting a reference rotation position A of the mixing vessel 3 and a time measuring means for detecting a rotation time of the mixing vessel 3 are provided. The rotation time per one rotation of the container 3 containing the food is measured by the timing means, and the time for the container 3 to rotate a predetermined angle from the reference rotation position A is calculated from the rotation time per one rotation. The rotational position of the mixing container 3 is controlled based on the calculated time.
