abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Chinese herb whose medical efficacy and the like are enhanced by a crude drug subjected to a saturated pressurized steam treatment and a food having the same. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by a Chinese herb and a food having a crude drug subjected to a saturated pressurized steam treatment. The saturated pressurized steam treatment can be performed under a temperature condition of 121 ° C or 132 ° C. It may be one using only a single crude drug, one containing a plurality of crude drugs, or one in which all of the crude drugs contained in Chinese herbs and foods have been subjected to a saturated pressurized steam treatment. Also, some of the crude drugs contained in Chinese herbs and foods may have been subjected to saturated pressurized steam treatment. |
