titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal optical element and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a liquid crystal optical element having a small parallax and displaying multi-color with one pixel, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal optical element having a light control layer 61 in which a liquid crystal material 31 is dispersed in a matrix resin 41, at least one hole (or groove) 51 is formed in a display pixel in the light control layer 61. 61 are formed in the depth direction. In the present invention, since a hologram film consisting of only a polymer is formed first, a substrate is not used between light control layers and ITO is used. Etc. can be formed. By providing a hole or a groove for each pixel, the depolymerized resist material can be easily removed, a wall-type electrode layer for connection to the TFT can be formed, and the liquid crystal material can be easily injected. As the liquid crystal material, any material can be selected, and since there is no dissolution of the liquid crystal material in the polymer, a high reflectance can be obtained without a decrease in the refractive index difference from the polymer. Furthermore, since a liquid crystal material is injected for each display pixel, a large area can be easily realized. |
