abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a novel substance which is completely different from a conventionally known substance derived from the brown alga Fucoidan as an antithrombin active substance having no production problem. SOLUTION: This is a sulfated heteropolysaccharide having a sulfate group (20.5%) and a uronic acid residue (7.1%), wherein fucose: xylose: mannose: galactose: glucose = 1.00: 0. 35: 0.28: 0.22: 0.15, wherein the average molecular weight is 222 kDa as determined by gel filtration chromatography. Antithrombin active. |
