(57) Abstract: In the present invention, transcription that binds to an ABA responsive element (ABRE) in a regulatory gene promoter region of abscisic acid (ABA), a plant hormone that mediates responses to various environmental stresses, is provided. Factor (ABF) was isolated and examined. This ABF is a bZIP class transcription factor, and the expression of ABF can be induced by ABA and various stress treatments. [Effect] Since ABF has a potential to activate most ABA / stress response genes, it can be used for creating transgenic plants that are resistant to multiple environmental stresses. |
