titleOfInvention Breath sample container, method of using the same, and method of handling breath sample
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To easily remove water in a breath sample without affecting the amount of carbon dioxide gas to be breath-analyzed. SOLUTION: A breath sample accommodating container is constituted by a syringe part 2 and a piston part 4 so as to be expandable and contractible while maintaining airtightness. One end of the syringe part 2 is a rubber seal material 1 2. After the piston portion 4 is pulled out and a negative pressure is applied to the exhalation accommodating chamber 20, the communication needle 30 is pierced into the rubber seal material 12 to aspirate the subject's exhalation. When the communication needle 30 is pulled out, the exhalation storage chamber 20 becomes airtight again. When discharging the collected breath sample to the analyzer, the breath sample in the breath storage chamber 20 is compressed in an airtight state, and the water vapor in the breath sample is condensed. The water droplet formed by the condensation adheres to the inner wall of the expiratory chamber. After that, the communication needle 50 is pierced into the rubber seal material 12 and the analyzer and the expiration chamber 2 are pierced. 0 and communicate the breath sample to the analyzer.
