(57) Abstract: A conductive polymer layer made of polyethylenedioxythiophene is formed on a dielectric layer of a capacitor element wound around an anode foil 5 and a cathode foil 6 with separators 7 and 8 interposed therebetween. It is an object of the present invention to easily obtain a capacitor having high capacity and excellent characteristics in a method of manufacturing a capacitor. SOLUTION: A conductive polymer layer is formed by impregnating a solution in which a solvent of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, an oxidizing agent, a polyhydric alcohol and water is mixed and chemically polymerizing. By polymerizing a high-concentration polymerization solution at a high temperature, a conductive polymer layer can be formed densely, and a capacitor excellent in frequency characteristics and capacity achievement ratio can be obtained. Further, by using the above-mentioned mixed solvent as an electrolytic solution, the ability to repair a defect in the dielectric layer is improved, and a capacitor having excellent withstand voltage characteristics can be obtained. |
