abstract | (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a photothermographic material which is free from color contamination due to residual dye after the photothermographic material having a dye is subjected to thermal development processing, and an X-ray image forming unit using the same. SOLUTION: In a photothermographic material having at least one photothermographic layer containing photosensitive silver halide on both sides of a support, at least one photothermographic layer between the photolayer or the photosensitive layer and the support is provided. The layer contains a dye that is bleached by heat or light, and the photosensitive layer and the layer containing the dye are applied using a coating solution in which 30% or more of the solvent is water.
