abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with a solid catalyst composed of a carrier and an active ingredient supported on the carrier, to contain a large amount of a hydrogenation active ingredient, and to obtain a homogeneous catalyst. Disclosed is a method for producing a catalyst for hydrotreating a hydrocarbon oil containing a crystalline metal composite and having a high catalytic activity. SOLUTION: The following catalyst components (a), (b 1 ) and (b 2 ): (a) An aluminum compound soluble in a non-aqueous solvent or a soluble compound of the soluble aluminum compound and silicon, phosphorus and boron. A mixture with at least one compound selected from the group (b 1 ) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of Group 6A metals of the periodic table (b 2 ) a group consisting of compounds of Group VIII metals A gel slurry is prepared from a uniform sol by contacting at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a precipitant solution in the presence of a non-aqueous solvent, and the gel slurry is subjected to drying and calcining to obtain a homogeneous and crystalline composite. A method for producing a hydrotreating catalyst, comprising producing a metal halide compound. |
