abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To realize a VA liquid crystal display device having good viewing angle characteristics while maintaining good contrast, operation speed, and the like as in the past. First and second domain regulating means 20A, 20B And the first and second domain restricting means are provided when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the substrate. 0A is provided so as to substantially surround the second domain regulating means 20B in the pixel region.
