(57) [Problem] To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter in which a spacer is formed at an accurate position without any trouble. SOLUTION: A transparent substrate, a pixel portion provided on one surface side of the transparent substrate and formed in a predetermined pattern with a plurality of colors, a light shielding portion provided at a boundary portion of the pixel portion, and the transparent substrate A color filter having at least a spacer which is formed on the same surface as the surface on which the pixel portion and the light shielding portion are formed, and which keeps a constant distance from the other substrate constituting the liquid crystal display. The above object is achieved by providing a color filter and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the color filter is formed on a variable wettability layer capable of changing the color density and above a portion where the light shielding portion is formed. . |
