abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst component for a copolymer of an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and ethylene, and a method for producing the copolymer. SOLUTION: A six-center reaction in which hydrogen at the β-position of a terminal propylene unit of a polymer is transferred to an ethylene monomer is calculated based on an activation energy (Equation 1) obtained by using a quantum chemical calculation method and a molecular force field calculation method. A catalyst component comprising an organic ligand-containing metal complex compound having an energy index ΔEa of 1.00 kcal / mol or less. ΔEa = Ea (Me, Me) + Ea (H, H) −2 * E a (Me, H) (Formula 1) Ea (Me, Me): Activation energy of a reaction in which hydrogen at the β-position of a terminal propylene unit is transferred to a propylene monomer. Ea (H, H): activation energy of the reaction at which the hydrogen at the β-position of the terminal ethylene unit is transferred to the ethylene monomer. Ea (Me, H): activation energy of the reaction at which the hydrogen at the β-position of the terminal propylene unit is transferred to the ethylene monomer. |
