titleOfInvention Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponified biaxially stretched film and method for producing the same
abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] It is difficult to cause trouble during continuous production, there is practically no difference in properties between the center side and both ears side of the film, and the flare that the film ears hang down hardly occurs. To provide a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVOH) -based biaxially stretched film capable of ensuring a maximum effective width, and to provide a method for producing such an EVOH-based biaxially stretched film. Aim. The sum of the metal contents of Na and K contained in EVOH is 0.01 to 50 ppm, the elongation L in the machine direction of the biaxially stretched film is 2% or less, and the biaxially stretched film is An EVOH-based biaxially stretched film having an average refractive index n as measured at each point in the film width direction within a range of 1.520 to 1.540, and an in-plane variation of the average refractive index n of ± 0.001 or less. The biaxially stretched film is obtained by first stretching the EVOH unstretched film in the longitudinal direction, then stretching it in the horizontal direction, further heat-setting, and then cooling the film after the heat-setting step. It is obtained by setting the temperature to be higher than the temperature in the central region.
