abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for selective fragmentation of a protein not affected by a specific protein and a method for quantifying a glycated protein not affected by a specific protein. SOLUTION: A protease and a protease inhibitor selective for a specific protein are added to a test solution to fragment mainly components other than the specific protein. In addition, glycated amino acids and / or glycated peptides generated from this protein fragment are quantified. [Effect] In fragmenting a protein, it becomes possible to fragment a target protein while avoiding the influence of a specific protein. In measuring glycated protein, it is possible to accurately, simply, and inexpensively quantify the target glycated protein while avoiding the effects of specific proteins that change due to various diseases.
