abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a color ink set for ink jet recording, which has no bleeding between different colors, has excellent secondary color development, and has sufficient printing stability. SOLUTION: In a color ink set including an aqueous ink of three or more colors and an aqueous black ink, the aqueous ink is a pigment, an aqueous solvent, and a compound represented by the following general formula (1), respectively. Wherein the pigment is dispersed in the aqueous solvent with a number average particle diameter of 50 nm or less in the aqueous ink, and the compound represented by the following general formula (1) contained in each of the color inks the weight ratio R 1 of pigment is 0.1 to 1.7, weight ratio R 2 of the compound and the pigment represented by the following general formula contained in the ink of the black (1) 0.002 1, and an ink jet recording color ink set to satisfy the R 1> R 2.
