abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a drying method that does not generate decomposition gas in intermediate drying in a filling cycle of an active material. SOLUTION: After a porous sintered substrate is immersed in a solution mainly composed of an acidic nickel salt, the porous sintered substrate is heated at a temperature higher than the melting point of the acidic nickel salt and lower than a decomposition temperature to perform intermediate drying. Next, the intermediate dried porous sintered substrate is immersed in an alkaline solution to replace the acidic nickel salt with nickel hydroxide. Such a process is repeated a predetermined number of times, and the porous sintered substrate is filled with a predetermined amount of an active material mainly composed of nickel hydroxide. In the present invention, the amount of heat to be heated in the intermediate drying is changed by changing the heating time or the heating temperature so that the amount of heat is gradually decreased as the above-described processing is repeated a predetermined number of times. |
