titleOfInvention Method for recovering strong acids from aqueous solutions
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for recovering a strong acid from an aqueous solution. A method for recovering a perfluorinated acid in its anhydrous form, comprising the steps of: a) preparing an aqueous solution containing the acid in a hydrated form; C) adding a weak base in the form of a water-soluble salt of said acid to said solution, c) distilling said solution of acid and acid salt in the presence of a first stripping agent to form a substantially water-free acid D) distilling the acid-salt mixture, optionally in the presence of a second stripping agent, to obtain a salt residue and the acid in anhydrous form; And optionally further recycling the salt residue from this distillation step to step b).
