abstract |
(57) Abstract: A process for producing a hydroxyphenylcyclohexanone derivative according to the present invention comprises the step of hydrogenating a substituted biphenol in the presence of a palladium catalyst having 10 to 30% by weight of palladium supported on a carrier. By performing in an organic solvent, a hydroxyphenylcyclohexanone derivative such as 4- (4′-hydroxyphenyl) cyclohexanone is obtained. Further, the organic solvent of the present invention is a monovalent aliphatic saturated alcohol having 3 to 12 carbon atoms. According to the method for producing a hydroxyphenylcyclohexanone derivative according to the present invention, the reaction step is a single step of performing the hydrogenation reaction of the substituted biphenols under relatively mild conditions, so that high purity can be achieved in a simple step. Is obtained with high selectivity and high yield. |
