titleOfInvention Cathode ray tube
abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to improve heat absorption from a heater in a cathode assembly of a type in which a cathode base metal is fitted and fixed to an inner surface of a cathode sleeve, and to prevent heat loss due to radiation. Image output time due to electron emission from a cathode ray tube is reduced. A vacuum envelope comprising a panel having a phosphor screen, a neck for accommodating an electron gun, and a funnel connecting the panel and the neck is provided, wherein the electron gun has a cylindrical cathode. A cathode base metal 41 is provided at one end of the sleeve 43. And a cathode 40 having a structure in which the other end side is opened with a heater insertion opening, and the cathode 40 is a cylindrical cathode sleeve 43. The dimension in the direction perpendicular to the cylinder axis is partially or entirely smaller than that of the other end, and the diameter of the heater 31 in which the coil is wound is smaller than that of the foot, and the heater is attached to the cylindrical cathode sleeve 43. The heat efficiency was improved by bringing the small-diameter portion of the cylindrical cathode sleeve 43 into close contact with the coil portion of the heater 31 when the 31 was inserted. Further, the diameter of the cylindrical cathode sleeve 43 close to the electron emitting material layer was reduced to reduce heat loss due to heat radiation.
