abstract |
[PROBLEMS] To increase the conductivity of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode for an alkaline storage battery, and at the time of charging an alkaline storage battery using the hydrogen storage alloy electrode for an alkaline storage battery as a negative electrode. Dissociation of hydrogen gas is suppressed, high-rate discharge capacity in an alkaline storage battery is increased, charging efficiency is improved, and an increase in battery internal pressure is prevented. SOLUTION: In a hydrogen storage alloy electrode for an alkaline storage battery using a mixture of a powder of a hydrogen storage alloy, a conductive agent and a binder, at least a part of the surface of nickel powder or nickel flake is a cobalt compound as a conductive agent. A coated conductive agent was used. |
