titleOfInvention High-strength monofilament with improved surface properties
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To maintain the physical properties of high strength and high modulus, while minimizing the concern of shaving the surface molten material, An object of the present invention is to provide a polyester monofilament of fine fineness which can be formed into a high mesh suitable for precision printing as a raw yarn for a screen gauze, particularly for a screen gauze. SOLUTION: In a non-crimpable monofilament composed of a polyester polymer, the intrinsic viscosity ([η] f) of the polymer constituting the monofilament is measured from the center (c) of the cross section of the filament. It gradually decreases toward the outer peripheral surface portion (p), and the intrinsic viscosity ([η] fp) of the polymer constituting the outer peripheral surface portion is in the range of 1.1 to 0.6.
