titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal temperature range expansion method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for expanding a nematic temperature range of a liquid crystal composition while satisfying various characteristics required for a liquid crystal optical element, and to improve the above-mentioned drawbacks produced by this method. Provided is a composition and a liquid crystal display element. A nematic liquid crystal composition for a display device (B) containing a liquid crystal compound (A) having a trans-1,4-cyclohexylene group or a 1,4-phenylene group. , A trans-1,4-cyclohexylene group or a 1,4-phenylene group contained in the liquid crystal compound (A) may be a compound of the formula (I) in which all or a part of the liquid crystal compound (A) is included. A liquid crystal temperature range expanding method, wherein the liquid crystal temperature range of the liquid crystal composition (B) is expanded by substitution with the compound (C) substituted with the structure of (1). |
