abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel liquid crystalline polyester composition which exhibits a cholesteric liquid crystal phase at the time of melting and can fix the cholesteric liquid crystal phase by cooling to a liquid crystal transition temperature or lower. SOLUTION: A catechol structural unit is 10 to 40 mol%, and a monooxy aromatic monocarboxylic acid structural unit is 10 to 10 mol%. 50 mol%, 10 to 40 aromatic dicarboxylic acid structural units Mol%, a liquid crystalline polyester (I) having a specific molecular weight, and 30 to 60 aromatic dicarboxylic acid structural units. The composition is melt-mixed with an optically active liquid crystalline polyester (II) containing 40 to 70 mol% of an aliphatic diol structural unit having 3 to 12 carbon atoms having an asymmetric carbon and having a specific molecular weight. |
