PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly active olefin polymer having a high bulk density and a good particle property without impairing the performance of a homogeneous catalyst even if it is a heterogeneous catalyst. Provided is a catalyst for olefin polymerization. SOLUTION: In a state where a solution of a catalyst component is dispersed in a medium (X) in which a transition metal compound (a) and a produced polymer are not substantially dissolved, a monomer (M) having a polymerizable double bond is added. An olefin polymerization catalyst obtained by polymerization, wherein the solution of the catalyst component is a solution in which at least the transition metal compound (a) is dissolved in a solvent (Y) incompatible with the medium (X). catalyst. |
