SOLUTION: In a copying machine including a printer 2102 having a second power input unit 2701 and a reader 101 for supplying power to the second power input unit 2701, a reader 1 is provided. 01 controls a first power input unit 2810, a power control switch 2803, an outlet 2802 for supplying power to the printer 2102, and a power control switch 2803 to control the power input to the first power input unit 2810. A power supply control unit that supplies power to the outlet 2802 and a unit that displays information indicating that power is not supplied to the scanning unit 107 of the printer 2102 when the reader 101 recognizes that power is not supplied to the printer 2102.
