abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a technique and a device for detecting a location of a vacuum leak in an inner pipe of multiple vacuum pipes such as a fusion reactor. SOLUTION: A viscous nitrogen gas or air is flowed as a carrier gas to an intermediate portion and an inner tube independently, and helium is intermittently mixed only as a leak inspection gas into the intermediate portion only, and passes through a leak portion of the inner tube. Helium flowing into the inner tube is detected by a helium leak detector, and the position of the leak is specified by a time delay from the start of helium mixing to the detection of helium.
