titleOfInvention Low emissivity antifouling coating on glass substrates
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a coating to both surfaces of a glass article and a substrate having a coating for converting water into a sheet. In one aspect of the present invention, a coating (20) comprising silica to sheet water is sputtered onto the exterior surface of the glass. Here, the outer surface of the coating which forms a sheet of water has an irregular surface with substantially no pores. The coating sheets the water applied on the coating, facilitates cleaning of the glass article and helps keep the glass clean for a relatively long period of time.
