abstract (57) [Problem] To provide an electron beam exhaust gas treatment apparatus having high energy utilization efficiency of an electron beam, capable of reducing required power of a cooling air blower, and causing no failure in an electron accelerator. SOLUTION: A reaction vessel 1 having an irradiation window, an exhaust gas inlet 11, and an ammonia inlet 12, an electron accelerator 2 for generating an electron beam, and a metal window foil 3 for emitting an electron beam to an irradiation window of the reactor. And a cooling air header 4 having a cooling air blowing port 5 for blowing a cooling air 9 to the metal window foil. And a cooling air blower 6 for supplying air to the header, and a cooling air duct 7, wherein the cooling air 9 from the cooling air blowing port converts the water to a concentration higher than the critical humidity of ammonium sulfate. A means for forming air contained in the cooling air duct, a means for injecting steam 13 provided in a cooling air duct or a cooling air header, a gas-liquid contact device, or a water spray.
