abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] To provide a biocompatible medical material exhibiting each effect of suppressing adhesion and activation of platelets and suppressing activation of the complement system and having high biological safety. A polystyrene-equivalent weight average molecular weight represented by the following general formula (I) is 40,000 to 10:10. A polymer having a weight average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 200,000 in a GPC chart. A biocompatible medical material containing a polymer having a peak area of the above molecular weight fraction of 0.5 to 10% of the entire peak area. Embedded image (In the formula, R 1 is an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R 2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R 3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and m represents a positive integer.)
