SUMMARY The present invention includes an electrosurgical device (2) and method for maintaining patency in a body passageway (12) subject to obstruction by invasive tissue growth. The devices (2) and methods of the present invention open and open virtually all hollow body passages that may be subject to obstruction (402) due to invasive cell growth or invasive solid tumor growth. Can be used to maintain sex. Suitable hollow body passages include conduits, orifices, lumens (10), and the like, by way of example, body passages including coronary arteries. In particular, the present invention is particularly useful for reducing or eliminating the effects of restenosis in coronary arteries by selectively eliminating tissue that has grown in or around the anchored stent (16). |
