(57) Abstract The present invention relates to novel strains of Escherichia coli and fermentation processes involving these microorganisms. More particularly, the present invention relates to genetically modified Escherichia coli strains and their use for the production of amino acids, especially members of the aspartate family, such as threonine. The invention also provides E. coli for use in fermentative production of amino acids. a method for preparing an E. coli strain. |
