(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a novel chip composition comprising an alkylene glycol, an active substance and fumed silica. It has been found that the use of chips containing fumed silica and an amount of alkylene glycol in excess of the active substance can significantly enhance the adhesion of the active substance without reducing the processability of the active substance. A second embodiment of the present invention provides a rod composition comprising a mixture of a chip of the present invention and a surfactant-based chip as defined herein. The present invention further includes a method of forming the chip of the present invention and a method of using the chip of the present invention to enhance adhesion without reducing processability. |
