titleOfInvention | Optical transparent body having diffuse anti-reflection coating and method for producing the same |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A coated transparent body having a multilayer antireflection coating, which provides high transmittance and low specular reflectance and reduces the visibility of surface defects, and a method for producing the same are disclosed. The multilayer antireflective coating comprises, on the surface of the transparent substrate, alternating layers of polymerized silicon dioxide and polymerized titanium dioxide, at least one of the layers having a refractive index different from that of the surrounding polymer. Is blended. This provides the multilayer anti-reflective coating with a diffuse reflectance that is close to or greater than its specular reflectance and negligible compared to the transmittance of the multilayer anti-reflective coating. . This diffuse reflectance causes contrast loss for any reflected image or glare, thereby masking any surface imperfections and providing a visually pleasing appearance. A continuous layer of anti-reflective coating is applied on a transparent substrate by applying separate solutions of alkoxide, alcohol and water, then curing the layer at elevated temperature, and then applying the subsequent layer.
