titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for imparting water resistance to electrocoagulated printed images |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to an electrocoagulation printing method and an apparatus for improving the water resistance of a printed ink. An electric current is passed through the ink which can be electrolytically solidified using the anode and the cathode, and the ink between the anode and the cathode is electrolytically solidified to form dots of the solidified ink, thereby producing an image. By treating the dots of the coagulated ink with a cross-linking agent, the crosslinkable components contained in the coagulated ink are cross-linked, thereby imparting water resistance to the dots of the coagulated ink. |
