titleOfInvention | Downhill snow sports boot assembly |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A downhill ski sport or skiing boot comprising a flexible walking boot (12) and a boot brace (10) formed of a rigid material to house and retain the boot therein. Provide an assembly that can be used for snowboarding sports. In the assembly according to the invention, the brace has a sole plate (20) that can be inserted into a normal downhill ski or snowboard binding. Upright members (30, 31) extending along the legs from the sole plate of the brace form the side supports. Forward resistance is provided by resilient biasing means, preferably located below the heel portion, located at the pivotal attachment of the upright member to the brace. The skier's heel is held by an adjustable heel counter located at the back of the brace. |
