(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a topical adhesive for attaching to the skin. In particular, the invention relates to topical adhesion that can be used to attach to the skin in areas where absorption of bodily fluids is desired. The topical adhesive provides a stable fit and is comfortable on the skin upon application, yet does not cause discomfort upon removal and has a low level of residual adhesive remaining on the skin upon removal. This is achieved by selecting the chemical composition and rheological properties of the local adhesive, especially those relating to the relationship between the elastic modulus G 'and the viscosity G "of the local adhesive. |
