titleOfInvention | Estrogen response element binding proteins and nucleotides encoding the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to the discovery and purification of novel estrogen response element binding proteins. Estrogen response element binding proteins are distinct from estrogen receptors and other intracellular receptors (eg, estrogen receptors). Estrogen response element binding proteins can interfere with the biological activity of estrogen receptors and other related intracellular receptor proteins. One aspect of the present invention is to provide a purified estrogen response element binding protein. Another aspect of the present invention is to provide an antibody capable of binding to the estrogen response element binding protein of the present invention. Another aspect of the present invention is to provide an assay for detecting or screening for a therapeutic compound that interferes with the interaction between an estrogen response element binding protein and an estrogen response element. |
