titleOfInvention | Novel polynucleotides panc1a and panc1b associated with pancreatic cancer |
abstract | (57) SUMMARY The present invention provides polynucleotide sequences called PANC1A and PANC1B that are related to genomic sequences that are also associated with pancreatic cancer and other cancers. The present invention also provides PANC1A and PANC1B antisense molecules. Further, the present invention provides genetically engineered expression vectors and host cells for producing purified PANC1A and PANC1B polypeptides, antibodies, antagonists and inhibitors of PANC1A and PANC1B polypeptides, and pharmaceutical compositions, and polypeptides thereof. , Antibodies, antagonists and inhibitors thereof. In particular, the present invention proposes the use of the polypeptide as a diagnostic composition for detecting pancreatic cancer in individuals with a high likelihood of pancreatic cancer, as well as in individuals who have developed pancreatic cancer. The invention also relates to therapeutic methods and compositions based on the nucleotide sequence for PANC1A and PANC1B. |
