abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple industrially applicable 3-mercapto-1- (1,3-thiazolin-2-yl) azetidine used as a side chain at the 2-position of a carbapenem antibiotic. Providing a unique manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The following formula (II): (In the formula, Bzl represents a benzyl group.)
