abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-moistened cleaning wiper suitable for surface cleaning in a field in which a volatile organic chemical substance and a non-volatile residue are reduced, and especially a clean surface is required. The wiper substrate is wetted with an aqueous solution of high purity water and an effective amount of an acetylenic alcohol alcohol surfactant. The surfactant is preferably an acetylenic diol, more preferably an acetylenic glycol. Preferred acetylenic diols include dimethyloctyne diol and tetramethyldecine diol.
