titleOfInvention High pressure discharge lamp and high pressure discharge lamp lighting device
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a high pressure discharge lamp from rupture due to floating foil in a sealing portion and a high pressure discharge lamp from floating foil in a sealing portion. To provide a high pressure discharge lamp lighting device which can be prevented. SOLUTION: The high-pressure discharge lamp of the present invention has a pair of electrodes arranged opposite to each other in a discharge space formed by a discharge vessel made of quartz glass, and mercury is sealed therein. In a high-pressure discharge lamp in which a sealing portion in which a conductive metal foil is disposed at both ends of a discharge vessel is formed, a long conductive metal foil is disposed on at least one of the sealing portions, and a length direction thereof is set. An airtight seal portion is formed at two locations separated from each other, and an airtight space portion is formed between the two airtight seal portions. Further, the high pressure discharge lamp lighting device of the present invention comprises the above high pressure discharge lamp and a lighting circuit for lighting the high pressure discharge lamp, and shuts off the supply of lighting power when the lamp voltage falls below a set level.
