abstract (57) [Summary] A phosphor ink can be applied continuously for a long time, and a phosphor layer can be easily and accurately formed uniformly even in a fine cell structure. Provided is a method for producing a PDP, and an ink coating apparatus and a phosphor ink suitable for the method. SOLUTION: When scanning in the X direction while discharging phosphor ink from a nozzle head 53, scanning is performed while adjusting the position of the nozzle head 53 in the Y direction so that the nozzles 54 are along the scanning line. Examples of the phosphor ink include a phosphor powder having an average particle size of 0.5 to 5 μm, a mixed solvent of terpineol, butyl carbitol acetate, butyl carbitol, pentanediol, limonene, and the like, which are OH-terminated solvents, and cellulose. A binder obtained by further adding a dispersant to a binder made of ethyl cellulose having an ethoxy group content of 49% or more in the molecule or an ethylene oxide polymer is used.
