titleOfInvention Liquid crystal display
abstract (57) Abstract: A high-quality image display free from artifacts and flicker can be performed even when a high-gradation image exceeding 10 bits is displayed with a normal 6-bit driver IC. Provide a liquid crystal display. A data distribution unit for distributing input image data to a plurality of frames of image data having a lower resolution than the original image data, and sequentially displaying the image data of each frame distributed by the data distribution unit on a liquid crystal display panel. A driver, a backlight unit that emits a backlight for displaying an image on a display panel, and a light amount control unit that performs sequence control of the light amount of the backlight in accordance with display of image data of each frame by the driver. This solves the problem.
