abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly remove unreacted polymerizable monomers when drying wet toner particles obtained by a polymerization method, and furthermore, without drying for a long time, efficiently. The present invention provides a method for producing a toner capable of obtaining a toner capable of forming a high-quality image without image defects due to residual unreacted polymerizable monomers by realizing good drying. SOLUTION: After polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer and a colorant in an aqueous dispersion medium to produce wet colored polymer particles, the water content of the particles is adjusted. Thus, colored polymer particles having a water content of 5.0% or less are obtained. Thereafter, the colored polymer particles are dispersed while being continuously supplied into a high-speed hot air stream, and dried while being sent in parallel with the hot air stream. And a method for producing a toner to obtain toner particles constituting the toner. |
