abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for discriminating Eucalyptus tree species based on DNA base sequence information, which is not affected by autolysis of DNA or contamination of DNA derived from microorganisms. Further, in the production of pulp and paper, a method of discriminating the species of Eucalyptus, which is capable of discriminating the species of a raw material in the state of a piece of wood, is provided. SOLUTION: Trees belonging to the genus Eucalyptus are used by using two or more types of primer sets selected from six primers each having a base sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 to 6, and having two base sequences different from each other. PCR-SSCP (p oligomerase chain reaction- single strand conformation n polymorphism) analysis is repeated and the results are used. |
