titleOfInvention | Electron emitting device and method of manufacturing the same |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide an electron-emitting device capable of improving electron emission efficiency. SOLUTION: An electron-emitting device according to the present invention includes a low-potential-side electrode 2 and a high-potential-side electrode 3 formed on a substrate 1, an electron-emitting portion provided between the electrodes 2 and 3 for emitting electrons. And an anode electrode is provided above the substrate. Since the secondary electron emission material is exposed on the upper surface of the region from the electron emission portion to the high potential side electrode 3, secondary electrons can be efficiently emitted to the anode electrode side, and the electron emission efficiency can be improved. . An auxiliary electrode is provided on the substrate 1 near the high-potential-side electrode 3 with an insulating layer or a high-resistance layer 10 interposed therebetween, and a voltage higher than that of the high-potential-side electrode 3 is applied to the auxiliary electrode. Electrons emitted from the portion can be drawn to the auxiliary electrode side. |
