titleOfInvention | Polarized light guide plate and polarized plane light source |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To develop a light guide plate which can obtain emitted light composed of linearly polarized light and can arbitrarily control the polarization direction (oscillation plane). SOLUTION: One or both sides of a translucent resin plate (1) A polarized light guide plate comprising laminated polarized light scattering plates (3) exhibiting scattering anisotropy depending on the polarization direction by dispersing and containing birefringent fine regions. [Effect] Natural light is incident from the side surface without any necessity of forming a special light emitting means such as a reflective dot on the translucent resin plate, linearly polarized light is efficiently emitted from the front and back surfaces, and is transmitted through the optical axis of the polarization scattering plate. Linear polarized light in a predetermined vibration direction is obtained, and the vibration direction of the linearly polarized light can be arbitrarily changed by controlling the optical axis of the polarization scattering plate. |
