abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion and a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material excellent in these characteristics by developing a technology capable of improving sensitivity, granularity, pressure resistance and sharpness. SOLUTION: This silver halide emulsion contains silver halide grains and a dispersion medium, wherein the silver halide grains have an internal phase, a first high iodine localization phase, an intermediate phase, and a second high iodine content from a central portion. Has a five-phase structure of at least a localized phase and a shell phase, and the ratio of the internal phase is 5% or more and 60% or less of the grain silver amount, and the average silver iodide content is 0 mol% or more and 10 mol% or less. And the ratio of the first and second high iodine localized phases is 0.5% or more and 5% or less of the grain silver amount, and the average silver iodide content is more than 40% by mole and 100% by mole or less, respectively. Wherein the ratio of the intermediate phase is 10% or more and 70% or less of the amount of silver grains, and the average silver iodide content is 0% to 10% by mole. The ratio of the shell phase is 10% or more and 50% or less of the amount of silver particles, A silver halide emulsion having an average silver iodide content of 0 mol% or more and 10 mol% or less. |
