abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for irradiating a specimen on a measurement surface of a substrate with excitation light and measuring the fluorescence emitted from the specimen to efficiently remove the excitation light. . SOLUTION: The excitation light irradiator and the analyzer are installed so that the excitation light can be prevented from entering the analyzer which measures the fluorescence, and the excitation light is applied to the specimen. A method for measuring fluorescence, comprising, after irradiating, relatively moving a specimen on a measurement surface of the substrate from the excitation light irradiating section to the analyzing section to measure fluorescence from the specimen.
